What a day this was. It started early with a 45 min travel to the new church.
On arrival everyone was smiling and the preparations of food was underway, and
the band testing the sound. We spent time standing and meeting and greeting
people, greeting Pastors who’s church’s we have been to and then all the guest
Pastors.
We had some time to sit and talk with others and yes it was through our wonderful
interpreter.
Then it all started first outside with the Overseer Pastor Almeida giving the word and our MC for the day Pastor Costa. Once this was done the church was officially opened with the cutting of a ribbon. Then the celebrations really started with every church represented doing a singing item.
Once all the singing items were done, we worshiped the Lord, and I had an opportunity to minster the Gospel, and then minister as the Holy Spirit led into
people’s lives. After Ministry it was offering time and each church represented brought something for the new church, that they would use.
We where then blessed with golf shirts to wear and Tanya a body wrap and head
cover. The people where very happy and joyful with the new church opening.
We then where dismissed and the preparations started for the meal that was to be served to everyone and truly no one left hungry everyone received generous
portions of chicken, rice, pap, fish and salad. Water and soda’s was given to all who
attended. It was a long but great day.
The following day we ministered for Pastor Almeida followed with a lovely lunch and
meeting with the Pastors.
